Advice Services
Check the local telephone directories for a telephone number or look them up on the internet.
WARNING
Be aware that there are some telephone help lines for advice and benefit information which are not official help lines and are extremely expensive.
They can charge up to £1.50 per minute, which could lead to bills of up of £30+.
The information on these phone calls is nearly always available for free from Government websites and other advice lines. There is no need to use these unofficial advice lines!
Remember if you do not get cost information when you first make the call then don't continue with it! You don't want to find out after 10 minutes that you are being charged over £1 per minute!. There is no good reason to make the owners of these advice lines rich at your expense!
Instead there are official organisations who can help you for free! The following list of advice lines and websites should all be genuine and professional. If they charge then they will tell you at the start of the call.
